What do we grow at the Lo Vilot brewery farm?
Type of organic hop and cereal:
We currently have 10,000 plants of organic hops spread over 4.5 hectares with 6 different varieties (Chinook, Cascade, Comet, Cashmere, Vista and Alpharoma). In addition, we have 10 hectares of organic cereals; two-row brewing barley, soft wheat and rye. We promote local farming and the efficient use of resources.
Once the harvest is complete, we process these ingredients to use them in making our local craft beers, using renewable energy such as solar power and biomass for hop processing (drying and pelletising) and grain malting.
